Named after the Quranic "manna and quail" — divine sustenance given to the Israelites — symbolizing the halal blessings that come to those who stay patient and honest, versus the emptiness of Rizq-e-Haram (forbidden/unlawful earnings).

زینب (زینی) ایک غریب گھر کی خوبصورت اور دیندار لڑکی ہے، جو اپنے کزن شیراز سے محبت کرتی ہے اور اس کی منگیتر بھی ہے۔ اس کا خاندان  شیراز، کرم علی، زری، جمال  سب غربت سے نکلنے کی کوشش میں ہیں، مگر اس جدوجہد میں ان کے رشتے اور قدریں کمزور ہونے لگتی ہیں۔
